I have a 1995 Schatt and Morgan Doctor's (nickel/pearl) knife with one main blade and one spatula blade. It's lightly used and I'm fond of the pearl patern, so trading for one with two regular blades would likely prove difficult.
I've contacted Tom Krein about reshaping and regrinding the spatula blade, but neither of us know if the spatula has been heat-treated similarly to the main blade.
-Can anyone confirm or advise one way or another if the spatular has been heat-treated, or suggest where I can find that info? Assuming it hasn't been, how would that effect the performance of the blade if it gets reground? Thanks for the help.
