I have a couple I bought at the same time and they are great. Got a screaming deal as well. I carry one every once in a while because it is so nice. And keep the other unopened save for an initial checkout for defects which I didn't expect to find!

It is a Schatt & Morgan File and Wire Tested 4 blade congress, but you guy's probably knew that!

I never warmed up to the congress pattern but I'd carry that one in a heart beat. Nice knife.

That's a nice knife. It reminds me of a 4 bladed Boker congress that my Dad bought me when I was about 14. He bought one for himself too. Now that he's gone, I cherish it more than ever.

I love this series from S&M. I'm a sucker for custom skinners but have been totin' this lately. It's like having 2 ATS-34 knives in one. It's on its way to G2 as we speak for a sheath fitting(these are the pics I sent him thats why both are in the closed position).

That really is a great looking knife. I think those file and wire tested knives are a good deal and every one I have handled was very well made.

Like the lanyard beads. How bout a shot of it open?
The beads are sterling silver from an ebay store, they were surprisingly cheap. One of the photos is a production file, and the other is from the guy I got it from...I think lol. Couldn't take some of it now, as its in the mail at this time.

The congress is a heavy guy for sure! I love the solid feel, and the blades as they say in the biz, walk and talk when opened or closed with a solidity that must be experienced to be sure. It is a great knife I love to carry. Every time I pull it out of my pocket, even non knife people including ladies express their admiration for it's beauty. I polish the bolsters every once in a while and it looks brand new since i never abuse the blades which also look new.
