Got this on the exchange the other day (thanks babakanoosh :)) and I'm so happy with it. I was taken by the looks of this knife the first time I saw it in '05 and haven't stopped wanting it since. Now that I've got one in hand, it's everything I'd hoped. Fit & finish, walk & talk are all excellent. The thick stock and sturdy spring make for a really nice using knife. Anywho, here are some pics.

I almost bought a Schatt and Morgan from Collector Knives, but got a Wharncliffe Bulldog and a Robeson Canoe. I will, yes I will buy an S and M next time...Glad to hear your report. I know what you mean about the yearning to bring one home. It never goes away, but that is ok. It is always good to have something turn your crankshaft. It is when nothing spins your bearings is when you need to worry. Geez, I sound like a gear nut,,ok I kinda am.:D

It definitely is an attractive knife - just a little bit different than anything else out there in the world of slipjoints (at least that I know of).
With that great Schatt & Morgan feel, fit & finish.
And fine ATS-34 blade steel.

Enjoy it.

I've been a looking for one myself, some dealers had them up on pages although they were out of stock, fantastic looking knife and love the shape of the blade.

Thanks for showing it here.

I like the position of the nail nick - very sensible for a big blade and spring.

Great deal you got their, I thought about it but passed wished I would have jumped on it.
That particular Gunstock is affectionately referred to as the C.B.Morgan Gunstock. Great looking. If only Schatt could build a Mountain Man lockback as well as the CBMG

Thanks for the comments.

Does anyone happen to know what the production numbers were on the File & Wire runs? I thought I'd read at some point that it was 600 pieces per pattern, but can't remember where that was to try to re-reference it.
