This might be a very stupid question, but I thought I'd ask. Why are some CruWear Manix 2 Sprint Runs numbered and others aren't? I have been wanting one for a while and finally got one today, and it is numbered, which got me curious because most of the pictures I have seen are not. I just want to know why mine is numbered before I send it out for customization.

Also, I have scheduled the Manix 2 for scales and stonewashing, but the lock is sticky and stiff so I was going to try and wear it in a little first to make sure it will break in and its not a defect. But I was wondering, would stonewashing the blade affect the lock, and if so in what way (smoother or stickier)?

Thanks for reading my odd and possibly stupid questions and for even attempting to provide answers, advice, or experience.

Knives produced for members of the collectors club are numbered. Otherwise they are identical to knives sold to the public. Sometimes collector club members sell their knives or don't want them and the dealers that receive them then sell them.

So no bad juju if I customize one! Sweet! LOL

Might depend on the number on there whether you get bad juju or not... :p just kidding.

Excited to see what you have in mind for custom scales on the Manix! :)

The lock contact point should not be stonewashed either way. So it should be mute point. Should have no problem.
