I just lost a computer power supply to a power spike during a recent storm. In that computer I was running an old photo editing program from 2002 that is not compatible in my new Windows 7. (I'm photographically handicapped at this time.)
So these photos are not in my normal comfort zone.

I sort of named this Windy Ws as it'a West Texas Wind pressed into a Crushed Ws pattern. The stainless guard and stabilized Koa work together in a full take-down assembly. (With an ivory finial cover.)

I hope ya'll are well.

Sold.

As always Karl a stunning blade and overall package. It was a pleasure to meet and speak with you at the Blade show in June.

Karl,

I really like it. You've put out plenty of pieces with blued guards, so I was surprised when I first viewed it that you hadn't done a blue job on that guard. Oh, one thing more -

Because so many of your pieces are takedowns, I am surprised that instead of producing a "Short Occasional Bowie", you try your hand at an "Occasionally Short Bowie" by designing the metallurgy necessary to allow the blade to stretch out and back at will.:D;)

Beautiful!! I really enjoy seeing what materials you'll choose for your next blades, guards and handles. As always, I digg it, and they're beautifully contrasted as usual. I really like that WTW W's pattern, I don't think I've seen it before, and it especially looks great hot blued! Also, the unique way you sculpt and polish your guards always looks great to me. Gorgeous piece of wood as well of course!

Regarding the photos themselves, IMHO, I almost always prefer seeing your knives on a natural background (such as this), as they allow your knife to really shine without any of the "photoshopped" BG colors clashing with the knife materials or being too busy in stealing the focus from your beautiful knives. But that's just me.. ;) :foot:

Thank you, folks, for the kind words.
And I have taken the photo comments to heart. (I just love playing with editing and that program was so simple.)

Looks good!..

I was wondering about the "OAL" and maybe the "guard to pommel end length" for this piece?

The blade is 6 1/16" long.
Face of guard to butt is 5 1/16"
Overall 11 1/8".

Thanks for the knife specs... I also liked watching your added video showing the full take down ability for it.

The size and pattern of the S.O.B looks like it would make for a fine user...

I kind of figured it wouldn't be available for very long. ;)
