Steve doesn't get much face time around here, so I thought I would give him a little. :D

Beautiful little knife. So elegant.
Thanks for posting this beauty TAH.

Steve's a great guy. I was fortunate enough to work with Steve on last year's CKCA cancer research benefit knife project. He's as generous a guy as you could ever hope to meet.

Almost impossible not to like Steve's work, a great guy, too. Thanks for posting this beauty.

It's always a pleasure to see just about anything by Mr Johnson. He is a real gentleman and his knives are really as good as they get.

Gotta love those Utah makers!

I sure would love to see even more of his work. Thanks for this fine example.

An ideal match for Steve Johnson's meticulous knifemaking skills are the embellishments provided by another master ....... engraver extraordinaire, Steve Lindsay. To me, that's a perfect partnership. Absolutely superb execution by both men.

The Shadow

Thats a real sweet knife. I like the look of the white ivory with red liners. Great engraving by Lindsay.

Thanks for all the compliments. I hope both Steve(s) are listening.

This knife "Goes Hard in the Paint"
Respect...

Not sure what that means, but thanks!

"Hard in the Paint"

To approach a problem, obstacle, or challenge with supreme confidence of success through a commitment to use all facilities available to one's self to achieve a goal.

The term has etymological roots in the basketball parlance that describes an attempt to score in the crowded and highly contested area directly under and immediately adjacent to the raised hoop on a basketball court, or "painted" area. Shot attempts in this area are traditionally only successful when made with a strong conviction to score, skill, overpowering strength, or a combination thereof (i.d. "going hard").

That is a wonderful knife by a true legend...
Five Stars...
