I just checked out the web site for the Palo Alto BAKCA show. It mentions CA resale license # or something like that - that is only for folks who are selling stuff there, right? Can anyone go to this show? Do you have to be a member of BAKCA?

I may have to combine a few hours at the knife show and a trip to Gryphon Stringed Instruments! :-)

Aeneas - Anyone can go to the show. It's open to the public, not just club members. I've been to this show a couple of times, and I'm not a member of this particular knife club.:)

Aeneas,

BAKCA's show is open to everyone to attend. The resale license is needed for table holders who are selling items at the show. The state of California requires this for tax proposes.
There is a benefit to being a BAKCA member at the knife show. You are able to get into the venue at 8:00am on both Saturday and Sunday. This two hours before the general admission ticket sales start. Oh yes, it also includes a mothly newsletter. A December, holiday pot luck and raffles of knife related items at each monthly meeting. So that the deal.
