Sal-

While I was looking at the Sawby lock patent drawings I ran across a reference to a patent for an S shaped throwing knife with your name on it. Looked like a wicked little beastie. Was it ever a Spyderco product?

I also saw your interests run from all thinks knives to self tying ropes and gas caps. What a range of ideas.

You might want to check out James M`s "Possible stuff...." thread, where he describes seeing "an S-curved double-pointed throwing thing" at the Spyderco booth at the SHOT Show. Sure sounds like what you saw. I guess it may be a Spyderco product someday. It looks like it`s made it to the prototype stage, at least!

Ahhhhhh.....

I see, said the blind man. Older patent = New Batarang. I don't know where you would hold on to this thing but once it was headed on its way, don't get in it.

Gracias,

-Sam.

There is an Indian throwing knife shaped as a circle - not something you want to see flying in your direction..

I could not get my hands on any thing that looked remotely functional though..

i was told something similar is used by the lesbo hero - xena

Hi Blilious,

I have seen a set throwing "discs" on the net somewhere. They came as a set of 3, (2 regular and 1 small) even had a leather belt holster. Totally sharp and "functional".

John

Actually our "S" shaped throwing knife will have a "launcher" (atatyl) for accurate throwing. The plan is to develop the item right up to production and then offer it to another company as their own item. We are not large enough to make and market all of the designs we have.

Current plan is a set of 3 knives with a launcher in a sheath. We figured to hit up the throwing knife companies or ? once developed.

I'm certainly not a ninja, but I have done a fair amount of throwing. This design sticks every time so one can concentrate on accuracy.

Sal - being a ninja is not bad - it's just a low life assassin ready to do anyone for the right amount... well - forget it ;-)

Anyway - all of us throwers would love to see this added to our inventory.

Please - make sure whom ever gets it is going to make it in the quality we are used to get from you guys and at an affordable price.

Thanks again
