I've never even seen one of these up close, but from what I read they're not the best. The $30-$45 usual selling price (from what I could tell at froogle) indicates that.

BUT, Grizzly has them for 9.95 for the next week (until 10/30), so at that price it might be worthwhile to grab some for the glove compartment and the kitchen drawer. Link

I saw one a few weeks ago. I thought they were crap!
Care to tell us why?

As I said, I haven't seen one up close, but this is a huge discount off what they normally go for. At that price I'm considering getting two just to have something handy, if I shouldn't I'd like to know why.

It's not like I'd toss a Swisstool or a Charge for one :)

sure, to me they looked like the cheapest imports you can buy along the lines of stuff sold in the fishing dept at Walmart for removing hooks etc. that sell for 3 to 5 bucks.

I don't know? for your purpose they might be fine! I think they are crap!

If you like stuff like that check out the sporting goods section of Walmart. Winchester has put their name on some incredibly cheap crap too. You can buy their multi-tool with a Buck like copy of the 110 I think for 6 or 8 bucks!

Anyway, I like quality multitools. I bought a Swisstool X 2 weeks ago. Work of art! I will buy 2 more today.
Up until then I carried an old version of the leatherman supertool for approx 10 years or as long as they have been available. I still have new ones for spares.

I use to carry a Solder until about 83' until leatherman first version and I found the needle nose to be more useful to me then the knife.
