So my father-inlaw gave me a knife for my bday. I did some research on it and its a S&W Sportsman model 6080. From what I can find is that they only made these in Maine in the early 80s. I can't find out what kind of steel it was made with. Does anyone know what was being used back then or any specifics on this knife?
