S&W has a new knife out that looks JUST like the CRKT Seahawk. I'm talking handle shape, liner lock position and protrusion, blade shape, serrations, and even, believe it or not, those little grooves CRKT puts on the spine of the Seahawk.

The major difference lies in that the S&W's blade is surgical steel, and it's handles are plasty-rubber. Still, unless CRKT has made some deal with S&W, how can they expect to get away with this?

Yeah! Drop the chalupa...

What I don't understand is, why do companies that make great guns make crappy knives.

S&W seems to be "inspired" by the designs of others. Apparently some folks feel it is acceptable to use anything that is not specifically protected by patent or copyright even if it stretches the bounds of fair play. Personally, I don't know how they get away with it but I won't buy a blatant ripoff. Let the S&W flaming commence.

To me this is no different than the guy who got blasted for selling Spyderco knock-offs. S&W Rips off other designs, and builds knives with inferior quality than the originals. I've owned one of the little ones, and it is decent enough, but to build a business this way sucks.

S&W doesn't make the knives....they licence their name to Taylor Cutlery who have the stuff made by contractors. Still, you think they would have more respect for their own reputation,
