Stopped by the factory today to get the spring on a 501 replaced. They replaced it short order while I waited.

Anyway, I seem to have found a unicorn... an S30V 119 factory blem dressed up like the Alaskan guide series. Any other sightings out there? I couldn't find much info online and the 119 doesn't seem to be part of the AG series. I'll post some pics when I can.

Yes, you can find the AG 119 in the on line catalog. Still have no pulled the tiger on it yet. May wait until my next trip to Cabelas and hand pick one!

There was another 119 that had S30V steel (which I don't think the one your seeing is it) of the signature series. A up grade model Buck did. Very unique. DM

Made me look! Went to the the Cabela's online catalog. It's listed as "NEW". Here is a blowup of the stock photo. You think they would have cleaned up the knife first, it's not pretty. Also note the Alaskan Guide logo is not screen printed in color. Hope that is just a pre production sample. Wouldn't be the same without the color logo. Considering the price and the poor appearance in the stock photo, just as jb4570 said, I also think I would have to pick one in person. For a user it would not matter but in the context of a collection I always try to find that "perfect looker". I've been getting a little pickier in that regard.

Oh, there it is. It didn't come up with the rest of the AG series when I searched. Looks like I got a great deal and didn't have to give Cabela's a penny of my money or a second of my time.

Good deal on a terrific knife. The steel and coating are supposed to be fantastic together. Congrats!
