It might be a bumd question but I just recieved a S30v Blur BNIB. I notice the blade's got one blank side, and
"1670S30V
KAI Patented
Ken Onion Design"
on the other. but there is no "S30V" on the side of the grind line like some pics I've seen, and no "date" like some Kershaw and ZT are known for. And the blade is heaily stonewashed...so heavily that I thought it was bead blasted. I was wondering if this is a real S30V blur or not. Please give me some info, show some pics. Thanks for any input guys.

DH_105, a picture would help if you can post one. Anyway, that doesn't sound fake to me. I know KAI announced a special run of Blur sporting either a toxic green or a deep purple handle color with S30V blade steel. I think that will be a sweet knife.

Cheers.

Right a way sir. I only focus on the blade stamp itself. And I notice the pivot torx screw is a bit weird...at least to me. Can somebody tell me something about it?

I just got my first Blur yesterday. It is a S30v just like yours. They look identical to each other. It is a nice knife. Especially for the price.

Actually, it's an exellent knife for the price. And I'm happy with it.Given that the steel liners on mine are roughtly cut, but the blade is ground perfectly. Problem is the Pocket clip shows wear pretty fast, I was carrying it around for about couple hours and you can see some scratches.

Once you get a few more scratches, and get it good and worn it will even out. Mine all do.

I hope so. Think I'll baby it for a few days, and then it'll be my user :D and in that case I don't mind some scratches.

Looks lagit to me.

Keep in mind that we stopped date stamping in 2009, so anything without a date just means it's from the last few years.
