Rumor has it that Chris Reeve developed S30V. CPM says, No. What's the story?

From what I recall, he designed it with Crucible. I don't know what the balance was on that partnership, but that's what I recall hearing/reading.

;)Ahhh... Rumours... Even better than the truth!

Kind regards,

Jos

BLADE magazine had a writup about it when S30V first came out and according to that article, Chris Reev e played a part in it as the Sebenza was the first knife to have S30V.

I have also heard he had something to do with it, but I dont know how much involvement there was on his part.

Hmm---Very interesting. So Chris was involved. I wonder why that dood at CPM stated other-wise?? Thanks.

I may have this totally wrong but I thought Boeing had something to do with its design  For the blades in its jet engines to help withstand birdstrike . Of course it could have been 154cm

Yeah, 154CM was originally designed as a turbine steel. S30V was designed as a knife steel.
