As with most here, I've owned, carried, bought, sold and traded all sorts of knives from all sorts of companies. My current want is posted above.

Looking at the Ritter Grips. Would love a Spyderco Stretch in S30v but they don't make that.

What else fits the above criteria? Budget is about $150.

Thanks.

:) Missed your "flat grind" requirement, otherwise TNT or Vantage Pro could've worked.

BM Mini Rukus has a high bevel (almost a flat grind) and is 3.4".

Kershaw Blur, Spec Bump, and Boa show up as s30v on the Kershaw website. Close to 3.5" blades.
Not flat grinds but most high bevels.

ZT350?

You could, for example, get a Blur @ $80ish and send it to Tom Krein (sp?) and have it reground (used to be $35 plus some s/h I think). Guessing he can do most production stuff. You'd come in under your budget.

If you are ok with the blade being a little shorter than 3.5, the paramilitary sounds perfect.

Like others have said, either a Paramilitary or a Ritter Grip will fit all of your requirements. Kershaw's S30V Blur might also be in the running here. I forget the blade length, but I think it's close to 3.25 or 3.5 inches.

The BM 615 mini-RUKUS is very close with it's 3.4" x .121" S30V blade. If you like it - and find one - grab it. They, the regular (610) and mini (615) Rukus, were canned earlier this year.

The Spyderco UKPK is S30v, full flat grind, blade length is 3". No lock but a back spring that is very strong.

Full flat grind isn't absolutely necessary, just something with high grind that will make a good slicer. Don't really want a low hollow grind or anything like that.

I'll start looking at what's posted about and go from there.

Had a Military. Loved the knife, if it were about 10% smaller all the way around. Handle is too big for that I want.

If you loved the Military I would say go with the para. It is essentially the same knife just smaller and with a different locking mechanism. Not to mention can be found for under $150.

Take a look at the para. I never really find myself missing that extra bit of blade length from the military, and I find the ergonomics to be a bit better for me.

Both the RSK Mk.1 Grip and the Paramilitary are an excellent choice. Of the two, I would have to give the nod to the Paramilitary for it's fit and finish, although the tip on the Ritter Grip is stronger. I have both.
