S30V rust?

Beadblasting is the worst finish to give a blade. It's easy and cheap for the manufacturer, and it gives a blade a non-reflective "tactical" look. But it gives moisture thousands of tiny little homes in which rust can form.

This +1. By far my least favorite finish to have on a knife as far as blades go.

Real fine steel wool will remove the rust without damaging the finish, better than a Scotch pad will.

I have a Strider skinner that developed a little surface rust--also s30v. Frog Lube took care of it. Applied it, rubbed the rust with an old tooth brush, wiped it clean, reapplied the Frog Lube, set it on the window sill for about a week or two, and when I came back, the rust had apparently dissolved. In any case, it was gone.

I gently wipe my blades and guns down with Breakfree CLP (Cleans-Lubricates-Protects) and do not have rust issues. You can get it an many sporting or gun stores. If you can't find it get "Rem Oil" (Remington Oil) which is very similar to Breakfree CLP. It is used by the military and is reasonably priced. I buy it by the gallon and put it into those quart size plastic WD-40 sprayers that you can get at the big home stores for use in the garage and shop. It lasts a long time. I gently apply it by rubbing the steel parts with a clean old teashirt or similar cotton rag that doesn't lint up.

If I am not using my knife I carefully wipe it down with Breakfree CLP and store it in a small ziplock freezer bag and if a collectible put it back in it's box. It will store for years without any rust or tarnish.

I'm have had good luck with this practice and I am sure there are other products that will perform similarly, I'm just not familiar with any others.

I used to use Breakfree CLP and Tuf-Glide but now I use FrogLube. It's food safe and works just as well if not better than the other two. My ZDP Delica rusted on a hiking trip (had been treated with Tuf-Glide), but a little Flitz took it right off.

WD-40, microfiber cloth, elbow grease...unless it's deeply pitted, it usually will remove the rust with very minimal finish wear.
