I have several knives made from VG-10, and it is a breeze to sharpen. How does S30V compare to VG-10 in terms of ease of sharpening?

I'm wondering because I'm considering buying a Spyderco Military in S30V to replace my 440V version that is a pain to sharpen.

Hi EZ. I have a JWS in S30V and have found it easy to keep it sharp. I have not gotten it to the point of really having it dull and then having to sharpen it. I think a lot is going to depend on the grind of the edge, angle, and sharpening system. I use a Spyderco 204 with the white stones, edge out since the blade is a recurve, and hit it a few licks in the evening after using it during the day. Seems to work real well.:)

I have a Spyderco Native and Benchmade 921 in S30V and they're both easy to sharpen. An S30V Military, if you like your 440V version, should put you in hog heaven.
