Newbie here.

I'm ready to buy a BK7. Just curious how these steels compare? I thought stainless was not as good for hard use knives as it was too brittle?

Thanks!

The carbon steel used for the Becker line of knives is top notch. Yes, it rusts, but not easily, and the blades are coated. My experience has been that the CU 7 holds an edge much longer than any of my S30V knives. And it's cheaper to boot. Great knife, you'll love it!

The BK 7 is a great sturdy knife. I lost mine on a camping trip and have been kicking myself ever since. It's the best camp knife for the money bar none in my opinion. If anyone has an extra, please let me know.
