What Rockwell hardness is given in birth document (Rc 59/60?)
I really wish Chris Reeve would do a S110V run or something like that. If he's willing to go through all the trouble of keeping super tight tolerances, you'd think a little extra grinding time wouldn't be a huge deal.
In the meantime I'm waiting for the (fingers crossed) switch to S35VN. S30V is just too common (and a little lacking in performance IMO) to spend so much money on.

S30V is not necessarily lacking in performance. It all depends on the heat treat.
