Just about finished. Just have to etch my mark on there. CPM S35VN, satin finished, then sandblasted, then hit with ferric chloride. Scales are Ironwood with micarta pins and stainless tube.

The wife got me a buffer for christmas so I buffed the scales. I think they turned out pretty good. They are a little slicker than I'd like, but I guess thats what you get when you buff em.

I'm kicking around the idea of upgrading to a makers membership on here so I can sell some knives. Would be nice to make a little money to put back into this endeavor.

Thanks for looking, Let me know what you all think,

Jason

Well, it may look good but should be ground off for good kitchen use. That heel will prevent the blade to make full contact with the cutting board and therefore not cut through items placed on it. Frank

I removed the photo link, as it was to his entire photo album.

Jason, just link to the individual photo URL.
One of the other guys can probably help you better than I can on the details about how to do it.

A while back, someone sent me a photo of his knife to put in a KITH thread. It opened his whole album file, which contained some photos of his lady that he surely did not intend to share with the BF group - even though I'm sure they would have been well liked :)

Thanks geek574

Thank you bladsmth, good call on the photos.

Frank,

I was envisioning this being a hunting type knife. It never crossed my mind about a recurve limiting its utility in the kitchen, good point. I'm going to leave it as is because that s35vn is no fun to grind after heat treat.

Judging from the looks of this knife and the one you made for the KITH, I'd say you're ready for an upgrade! Look forward to seeing some of your stuff in the xchange!!!

Thats a great looking knife. You could make some decent $$ putting out pieces like that. Keep up the good work:thumbup:
