S35VN, tips on sharpening?

I liked my Buck 105 so much that I snagged myself a PRO model, which I just recieved today. Its my first S35VN blade and I'm wondering what sharpening advice I might get as far as geting the best performance out of it? I intend to reserve this knife mainly for hunting use, specifically for field quartering moose and elk where lesser steels will have trouble making it through the job without a touchup. I've got a diamond stone with 600 grit on the fine side, usually sharpening at about 20 degrees, and then I finish the edge on the bottom of a ceramic coffee cup. Wondering if this should give good results, or if I should make any changes? thanks

Here's a pretty good thread from a couple years ago:
Thread 'Sharpening S30V' https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/sharpening-s30v.1960769/
They're discussing S30V, not S35VN, but the advice should still apply. Hope this helps.
Yes, sir - the advice for S30V holds for S35VN: use diamond media, and stick to the factory edge profile - don’t go any thinner. That thread was a couple of years ago, and I’m still happy with the Buck EdgeTek Ultra three-grit diamond rod. Shaving sharp without a fuss.

I have always used Norton Crystolon (silicon carbide) stones with CPM steels. I use them with water and soap. I mostly use the medium stone. I knock the burr off with a high angle on a fine ceramic stone.
