Anybody worked with S35VN?

I was curious about how it compares to S30V to work with. How it grinds, machines, etc.

Also is there really a noticible difference in "real world" performance compared to S30V?

Just shipped my first 15 S35VN knives on Monday, and put one in my pocket, so I can't speak for performance yet.

However, it machines, and grinds nice.
A fair bit easier than S30, and just a touch more difficult than my usual steel, CPM154.
I noticed no difference in machining, it drilled and reamed like CPM154.

Where I spotted the biggest difference was surface grinding.
I got a little less belt life than with the 154, and it behaved strange.
As the belt progressed across the blade, the leading edge seemed to polish rather than cut.
It was shiny, and didn't spark, then the abrasives seemed to "catch" for lack of a better term, and cut.
This was in 320 and 400 AO belts, and started after making a couple passes...

I just got a Sebenza in S35VN. I don't think I'll be able to detect much difference in use .For the maker it may be more obvious. It should be able to be polished unlike S30V and machining should be easier.

I just ordered a small sheet of S35VN for a series of kitchen knives that I'm working on.

I haven't started working on them yet, but I'll let you guys know how the steel works.
