Days of dehydrating nectarines (hours and hours of cutting them) have proved S45VN’s worth to me. After a couple hours of hitting pits, a quick strop brings this large 31 back to hair shaving sharp.

Bring on the deer butchering, she’s ready.

I've been impressed with how long mine will hold a shaving edge. They say its similar to s35vn but it seems to keep that razor edge much longer to me.

The S45VN is noticeably better at edge retention and how keen of an edge it takes compared to S35VN. Without question a superior steel to S35VN. I'm very impressed with it to say the least.
