S45VN?

Was looking a couple of fixed blades using S45VN, but am not really seeing that much on-line in terms of info about it. I'm assuming it's going to be better than S35VN, but not as desirable as S90VN?

What kind of fixed blades? Hunting knives?

in comparison to S35VN is has noticeably better wear resistance, less toughness, and a good bit more corrosion resistance.

I have a blade or two in it. I can't seem a functional difference between to and S35VN in terms of an EDC, and the newest run of their knives seem to be Magnacut.

Not a bad steel at all, but I generally see diminishing returns when I get about S35VN.

I have a CRK in S45VN, and my purely unscientific findings are that it holds an edge a little better than my CRKs in S35VN, and doesn't seem any more difficult to sharpen. I got a knife in Magnacut last year & it's replaced S35VN as my favorite steel.

S45vn has been around quite a bit and had a lot out there on it. I'd take another shot searching

What uses do you have for a knife?
