Yeah I wound up cutting one short for an order so I'm waiting on steel. Entertainment... :D

I'm cold aging the steel for extreme extremeness.


One in the batch is a big wharncliffe style blade, I accidentally chopped the tip at the wrong angle with the saw. It was too short after re chopping and it is for an order. I ordered more steel right when it happened (lol the next day when I noticed!) and expected it in quickly but it has not shown up. These guys are usually fast, I ordered the steel for the kiridashis a few days after that and already have them profiled. (NJ SteelBaron had the fast shipping, those guys constantly impress me)

I like to have steel in stock but it is a $100 piece.

How off topic can I go, pretty far! lol... I expect the steel in very soon, it is up to UPS. Lately they have been slow, two weeks on delivery for most and I still have to go pick it up. I want to order a bunch of steel and a selection of G10 in the future so I can have lots on hand.

Not the greatest update but it is good to know what is going on! :D
 
I just took out the trash and checked the mail, lol 5 mile round trip 4x4 style! It was an adventure.

The S7 is in! bam! :D Chopper thirty...

D2 too, but it will be a while before I get to it. More tantos!

Thanks! I was amped to see it there! That is hands down the place to buy steel too, I am proud they used it.

I just checked and I am listed in "Knives 2013," exciting stuff! I checked and it wasn't out yet locally but I think it should be now. It was cool to see both in the same week.
 
I can't wait to get back on them! :cool:

I'm painting the shop today, it is only primered. I'm going dark green.

It is already getting into the 30's here at night, yesterday afternoon it was 38 in the shop!

Cutting tube... I need it cut and chamfered at this point so I can index and drill the scales.
