Another Camillus S207 was sold on eBay last night which is not especially news. Thought the selling price of less than $21.00 is noteworthy.

My interest in this knife was that the seller still had the original plastic bag packaging and the "paper" -- instructions on how to use the can opener blade.

Congratulations to the buyer. If he/she wants to make a 100% profit on the item they can contact me.
:D

Sac t -- I hear that! I sat on my hands to keep from bidding. I have a couple of nice S702s. I haven't really come up with a good way to store any boxes, bags, paper, etc. that comes along with knives. I know I've already lost track of some boxes re which knife they came with.

Yes I have to admit that keeping track of let me call them the accessories that come with some knives to be problematic. I don't like attaching any kind of label to items that over time can mare that item. Sometimes I'll put a note in the packaging with a detailed description of the specific knife. In truth sometimes that's easier said than done. There's still the problem of those items taking up precious space.
I hope the new owner of the above knife gives it the good home it deserves.

It's interesting: right now there's another S702 on eBay with the plastic bag -- the knife is in horrible shape -- haven't looked too closely but looks like it was dipped in salt water every day for a month and then put away in a damp cellar.

Just thought it was interesting that I'd heard about the S702 being originally packaged in a plastic bag and in just the last week I'm seeing TWO of the bags for the first time.

What did they last retail for? I know in '93 it was something like $28.50, so $21 was definitely a steal.
