That's how SOME of the sprints have released at SFO over the last year! Hopefully this follows the same pattern.

Got mine in today

Received mine. Very happy with it. For the weight and size couldn’t think of a better fighting knife. Feels very light in hand. Not for prying, cutting construction type work knife. Point is super fine, don’t drop it. I knew what it was and was correct. I’m an knife gun instructor myself with many knives, swords myself. Would shave hair out of the box. Gave a few passes on a fine DMT diamond stone. Scary sharp now.

I was blown away by the cutting power of the Yojimbo 2 blade during general everyday use! I used one daily for 4-5 months straight recently and fell in love with the knife. I purchased the Blackout Yojumbo before Christmas, But haven't spent much time carrying. The texture on this Carbon Fiber Sprint is easier on the pocket then the Standard model.

Somebody almost talked me out of another Yojumbo for cutting/utility use. Said it was no good for EDC tasks. That, like a Civilian, it's best kept sharp and left alone for when you need it.
However, I don't know about that. I was thinking that the same qualities that make it good for SD, make it good for general cutting, too. I have a Yojumbo in S30V that I love but have not had an opportunity to use much since I got it, and I wanna get one in S90V, too, because I hear that is a top steel.

So, with your Yojimbo 2, would you confirm the usefulness or utility of this knife style? I am glad to hear from someone who used it for so long.

Also, if anyone else just reads this and can chime in...if I were to keep one Yojumbo "on the sidelines", and one for regular use, what would you rec I make the regular use one (anyone at all, not specifically just you, DA170), the S30 or S90?
Also directed at everyone - I was under the impression that larger knife sprint runs like this Yojumbo are way easier to get and are not snatched up nearly as quick as, say, a new PM2, you guys think this is true?

A knife gun instructor? Finally! I've been needing someone to teach me the ways of old-school pirates. 😁

There are going to be some released on BHQ eventually, they're coming soon. I can't believe I just said that as I have a paranoia about letting other people know where knives that I want to get can be found until I have said knife, lol.
Mine will be here on Wed :)

The matching 5x5 clip will come a few days later.
I was hoping 5x5 was a legit place! I went over there, and now I'm just like "I NEED a Marlin Spike for my Jandura!"

It's a great general purpose cutter. Not a pry bar, of course.

Good place. Collaborate with M Michael Janich if I remember right. Shown these before ...

Oh yeah, I intend to use the knife as a knife, for sure! I just wanted to get confirmation on its performance, thank you for easing my mind, I knew the wharncliffe was utilitarian.
Speaking of prying, I want to start carrying around one of those little pocket prybars, called a "Pico", I think it is. Hand people that when they ask for a knife, it'll serve them 90% of the time they want to do some abusive shit to my knife, haha.

WOW, nice clip, that looks fine, mane! I think I'm going to have to make a little purchase when I get paid...
And yes, they do work with Michael Janich. He regrinds Spydercos in his wharncliffe way, and calls them the Jandura, or Jandelica, it's awesome. He also makes an even tiner version of the Yojimbo, called the ChicagoJimbo, because he grew up there and wanted his folks back home to be able to (legally) have a Yojimbo. He sounds like such a stand-up dude.

I've been using the Tan G10 Satin 20CV (similar enough to S30V) Yojimbo 2, Stuck a short Lynch clip and lightly sanded the Scales. The knife is absolutely a great carry for most daily cutting tasks. I easily broke down 2 double walled boxes (dishwasher and pingpong table) the first few days i carried it. I had used drop, Clip, And Spear point blades for so long, I didn't realize my muscle memory was working against me cutting with the Yojimbo 2.

I was stabbing the tip into the floor (had a rug underneath) of the garage, While ripping through the thick boxes. I slightly rounded the tip the first month while cutting various materials. Once I adjusted my technique the Yojimbo 2 was a pleasure to use. The tip is fragile, But like others have stated, Perfectly suited to EDC and SD.

I'd personally use the S90V Yojumbo for everyday cutting because of its edge retention and save the S30V for your "on the sidelines" blade. That's completely up to you though 🙂
This S90V Carbon Fiber Sprint may be going "faster" because it's the first Exclusive/Sprint of this model.

Yeah, that was exactly what I was thinking, I heard amazing things about this steel. Supposedly not so chippy as S110V! Thank you for this input, I am more and more confident about the blade, cannot wait to test it! I'm waiting for something to need cutting 😁

So jealous hope these hit spydercos site again
