S90v manix2 xl

Just wondering do you guys think the dealer exclusive Manix2 xl will be a hot item like the sprint run or dealer exclusive regular manix. I love mine so for sure I will get one if I am lucky.

I'm not a big fan of the ball lock, but I'll probably try one out just for the S90V and the big handle.

Spoke to them on the phone a while back and was informed due to backlogs at Spyderco that it was not going to happen this year. If you notice on their web site they are not even taking pre orders yet.

Dang. I've been checking their site every week in hopes of seeing it materialize. I think the Manix 2 XL is the best buy in the knife market for a large-ish folder. I bought a Military when I went to the Spyderco factory because I wanted to buy something made at the factory from the factory and I already had the M2XL. The Military is nice (and I was stationed at Carson for 3.5 years) so it is fitting, but if I had to pick a folder for another deployment, the Manix gets the nod. More sprint runs, please! I will buy all of them.

Now that sucks! Man, I'm in on a couple of these, when they come out. You guys got me all excited, I went to the website, like a dilligent little sprint shopper, and nothing. LOL

Sorry to say I did not inquire with Roger about the status of the Yojimbo when we spoke. Perhaps it's time for someone to call and get a update on both for all of us. I really want the jumbo manix dang it!

Thanks for the info. The whole year I'm holding off on further knife purchases till I have the 2013's must-have Spydercos (which are for me: S90V exclusives and S110V Native 5)

Not many reviews on the forum native...how is it is 110 v a pain in the butt to sharpen?

The easiest way to get up dates on exclusives, LE's and Sprints is on our FB page.
When we get word they are about to ship from Spyderco it will be posted on FB 1st.
(As we cant follow every post on every Forum)
That's the best heads up we can give. Both of these in S90v have been in the works since Shot show 2012.
