S90V PM2 or GB

My answer to all the "this one or that one" question is always the same: Get both! That's what I've been doing, much to the dismay of my bank account. :o

That's a good question -- and one I also wrestled with. Because I tend to use my knives outdoors and often in wet conditions, I chose to go with the PM2 as S90V is more stain resistant. YMMV.

Personally I'd go with the Para. That is if you can find one at the moment though. Don't own one yet but from what I can hear and see its gold.

I can't get both at this time. The GB is cheaper though... But the Paramilitary could be more collectible down the road... AGH!

This is just my .02, but if you plan on using it, don't worry about the "collectability." Just buy the one you want to use.

I decided to get the Para Military 2, I can get a Gayle Bradley at anytime but the opportunity for the S90V Para only comes once.

Good thinking. get CF Para2, if you can at reasonable price. I love the knife.
I sold may GB couple days after I got it. Not crazy about this knife, but love my Para2.

I love my GB to pieces but I have to say I love my new Para 2 CF a bit more. Lighter weight, nice blade steel, fine materials, strong lock - adds up to few drawbacks in my book.

Same here. I consider the GB one of Spydercos finest knives and it sets the standard for F&F for any production knife on the planet but for my EDC needs, the difference between M4 and S90V is insignificant so it would be S90V FTW because of the corrosion resistance even though I never have corrosion issues in Reno since we have 10-20% humidity.

So as much as I love the GB, I like my Para 1 S90V more too. It's really the perfect EDC overall even if one didn't care for the operational aspect of the compression lock. Plus the two CF S90V's I have have outstanding F&F too.

Re: kadinh.

Nice mirror-polished edge there on the GB :D.

Personally, the PM2 is a better overall EDC knife because of light-weight, decent lock, and a superb steel (don't have one, just the S90V/CF Millie). The GB is a better knife for hard-use IMO, the blade seems very tough so far, no chipping (I've chipped almost every knife I own doing food-prep) and holds an edge very well too. Have had a little corrosion on mine from food-prep but still minimal.

Then why do you keep using folding pocket knives for food prep;)?!? I feel like a broken record with this point, but the cheapest dollar store piece of crap kitchen or paring knife, if sharp, will EASILY outperform almost any folding pocket knife for food prep.
