I personally would really like a Saber ground Military that's thick at the tip like the saber endura's are. Would anyone else be excited about such a thing, or am I the only one?

I can see your point, but Military's have such a loyal following, I doubt the grind will change. I guess if I need a more robust, saber ground blade, I'd just carry a saber ground Endura.

I like the fine point on the military and the fact that it's so slicey thanks to the full flat grind. I rarely find myself stabbing anything with real force.

If we're talking variations though, I would pick up a fully serrated version in a heartbeat if they came back into production!

I believe the Endura and Delica are still made with the saber grind blades as an option. While not the slicer a ffg is , the saber grinds do seem sturdier for some uses. I keep a saber grind comboedge Endura in my car for general utility purposes. A saber grind Military might have some appeal, but I doubt they will be made. The flat grind Military seems to be plenty rugged.

I know their phasing out Saber ground Endura's but won't they still be making saber ground Endura and Delica Wave models?

For me personally, no.

IMO, what makes the Military what it is, is its amazing cutting/slicing performance in such a big folding knife. A saber grind wouldn't have nearly the cutting efficiency. There are already so many 'tactical sharpened pry bars' out there. Another reason I don't care for thick, flat saber grinds is that with use over time, they become more difficult to resharpen sooner than other grinds.

I'd grab one.
The rest of you probably would pick one up also, if it were there. ;)
Serrated saber ground Military, oh my! :)
