Gents, I think I accidentally stumbled upon a grail knife! I recently got this .29'' thick fatty NMFBM from a friend here on the forum, only to find that she is saber ground and not fully 'vexed! Does anyone else have a NMFBM like this?! This thing is INCREDIBLE!!!

Whoah! If only it had a satin finish to show off the grind line more! Nice score!

Dannnnnnng Brendan!!! That thing is awesome!

Im not usually a fan of muddy but it looks darn good on that lady

Saber grinding that blade must have been a mistake. If you send it to me, I'll make sure it's disposed of properly :D

Great catch!!!

Nice Score!! I love the combo.

This one has a saber but the bama covers it well.

Hey! Where are these saber ground nmfbms coming from? (aka time frame/ganza/show?) and does anyone have a satin saber ground they'd like to post a picture of :)

Brendan, you lucky HOG!!! Dude that is nice. I need to crack my toy box and look at mine...

This tread is the first time I hear of and see saber grind NMFBMs. I would also love to see of of those stripped and satin finished

Those are all nice looking knives. send them to me for closer inspection/quality control

I have a theory on these, and its just a theory, but here it is.

when they released the NMFBM, both the CG and LE were listed at .25, but as they started arriving the LE were thicker, closer to .28-.30. My guess is the LE were made from thicker stock and rough ground first with a convex saber and then brought to a full convex. What we are seeing are some LE blanks that are being coated without being brought to a full convex.

Hmmm............you may be on to something ;)
