Well its been an extremely busy (crazy!) month. Back to school (teenagers), start of new project and move into a new building (my work), selling of business (my wifes), major/minor car repair (me doing the work) and somewhere in the middle of that Paddling-mans passaround SFNO showed up on my doorstep. I need to work less and have fun more
.yeah, in the next life.
This is the first real chance that Ive gotten to hold one of the new flat grind SFNOs, and I was surprised at all the subtle differences some not so subtle but most are. So far Ive only had a chance to take snapshots and compare the visual differences but Im hoping to do some actual user comparisons (this weekend?). I finally got around to popping the cherry on my saber grind SFNO the last trip to the Sierras and it lived up to almost all my expectations. Actually the only disappointment I had with it was the length, just a little too long for practical carry and too short for a practical chopper. Other than that I have to say that the SFNO is one of the best all round knives Ive experienced
. Anyhow
I'll save that review for another thread.
Heres the pics .you should be able to see for yourself the differences. Choil size, thumb rest/ramp size, the blade width (saber 1 8/10; flat 1 9/10), OAL (saber 12 11/16; flat 12 13/16), ricasso, plunge line, tip thickness, micarta patterns, rivets, and a few others. Well heck .see for yourself. Enjoy .oh and THANKS PM:thumbup:.
