I've always been intrigued by this series. Cool design, and looks really versatile. Kinda wishing the handle was not phenolic, but it's nicely patterned.

Did you get his book, too?

Coo

The book is really an interesting read.
Coop, a friend asked me to re-handle his 'sabertooth' in green micarta.
It looks great in green! Didn't take pics though... and this is one of those times where they would of been nice to have.
Very strong knife. That saw back is deadly

I must question the sheath and its durability with the sawback on the knife. It would seem every time you draw the knife you will tear the sheath a bit. As you can see from the pics, there are shards of leather all over the teeth.

Yeah, I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Plus, it seems like the sawteeth will interfere with all sorts of other uses, like battonning if that's what you want to do, in using the back of the blade to pound in pegs and such, and in using the knive as a draw knife. Is the trade off worth it? Unless you are creating trap parts, how much do you really need a little short saw out in the woods?
