Sable IV vs Mountaineer II

This for a hunter, fisherman, hiking and camping !

I recently purchased the Mountaineer I (the small one - 4" blade) and I can see it performing beautifully for hiking, camping and fishing. I don't know about field dressing???

Wise advise I have dress a deer with a mountaineer II it can be done (along with a hatchet and caping blade) but the sable blade shape is perfect for dressing and cleaning fish.

As the others have said, the curve of the Sable's blade would make it easier to clean game.

yes the clip point of the mountaineer is good for piercing and digging. Sable blade is made to cut and perfect for cleaning duties.
