Hello everybody, I just registered today and was wondering if anybody had any idea how old this little knife might be. I've seen these Sabre 646 online including here but they all were stainless steel but this one has a carbon steel blade. Otherwise it looks the same. Also it's made in china. Thanks. I have a photo but havnt figured out how to post it yet.

I would hazard a guess as early 1990s. During the 1980s Sabre imported knives from Japan, folders, fixed blades, electricians knives traditional slipjoints. The importing of knives from China did not start until then. Are you sure your knife says "China" on the other side of the ricasso?
Because if it says "Hong Kong" then it is prior to 1997.

Yes it says Sabre with 646 underneath on one side and china on the other.

Maybe they just marked china on the carbon steel version. The others I've seen were all the exact same knife but with stainless steel. Thanks for the replies!
