Sabre grind endura coating worn off by rubbing on liners

I purchased an all black endura because I only like the way the endura blade looks with serrations for some reason, and the all black version looked especially nice. When I got it, however, on first open of the blade and it already was missing coating on both sides because even though perfectly centered it seemed the channel for the blade to go in was not wide enough. It looked bad enough it's already on its way back to the vendor. I realize that type of coating will wear with time but I also couldn't handle the audible scraping noise I got when opening/ closing it, and it was adjusted properly because the blade could drop down when depressing the lockbar. Has anyone else had sabre grind rubbing issues? I'm thinking this problem wouldn't have happened if the blade was full flat grind because the blade would clear that part better, so would I have better luck with the thin red line endura? I'm not a firefighter or anything but I don't see any other endura with ffg and partial serrations.

The coating on the Japanese models easily wears off from rubbing the handles; it's a known thing. The H1 Salts are other examples where this happens.

Not sure about the ffg as I don't have any that are coated, so someone else will have to answer there.

I wonder if the grind has anything to do with it...
I have not had any problems on my one TiCn (black) coated Japanese Spyderco, a Matriarch 2, but that is a thinner blade on the same handles, to be sure.

Just an update I exchanged the saber ground endura for a ffg partial serrated one and the blade has much more clearance, no rubbing issues. I'm really enjoying how the endura feels in the hand and carries in the pocket, and can see why it's liked by many.
