Last month I got lucky on the bay and was able to snag a black coated fatty SFNO with magnum handles. This is one of my "grail" Busse's so I'm very happy with this one!! The fatty is 1,35mm (.0531") thicker than my flatgrind SFNO. Also its more than a 100 grams (.22 lbs) heavier.

I think it has green linen micarta scales (?), they certainly differ a lot from the black canvas on my flatgrind SFNO. Maybe an older/educated HOG can affirm...

This one came with the best edge I've ever seen on a factory mint Busse.

I have not seen too many pics of a fatty SFNO around here so here are some.

You beat me up:):)

Looks like Green linen whcih I thought , but your pics are much better than when forsale.

Looks like they have been oiled compared to mine which could be due to the fact that you have MAGS, but a beautiful beast regardless.

nice!~

nice score. i saw that and didn't even bid cause i knew it was going to be too expensive. how much did you end up paying?

nNow THIS is what the NEXT offering should be from Jerry. It is a beast of a knife and is the perfect size.. the new SNFOs just don't have that thick blade, BIG MAG handled Brute look to them like this one does.. I LOVE THAT knife! Is there anybody else out there who has one of these knives that would like to put up some pics? OK FELLAS,>> THIS ONE IS WORTH A DEATH CHANT.. BRING BACK SFNO!
AND>> These are the size Talon holes need to be.. notice the difference, you could get lots of 550 cord through those

Congratulations!

The fat SFNO is an awesome knife:thumbup:

Don't let her ever go! I'm not even into the SFNOs but my bet would be that the fatties with Mags are going the way of the SH1 and will be one of the hardest to find and most coveted of the newer model Busses (besides the HOGFSHLE)

Here is a picture of a Magnum Tiger Hide Fatty that I traded off a while ago.

So you're the animal that sniped me with 4 seconds left in the auction? Man, I could have hunted you down for that. It hurt.

I won't divulge the final price, but while it was high, it was only a few dollars more than I paid for my satin/tiger sabre.

J

Btw...great HogFu, Crafft.

Very nice bro....she's a real beaut. Notice how the hollow tubes are counter sunk into the mags. Don't see that on the new ones, and if I'm not mistaken the mags are thicker and the texture is alot deeper. Shouldn't be green linen though....tiger, tan and black where the options back then for mags. But the detail on the older mags where way nicer and that black you have is more than likely linen not canvas as the newer version has. Great score bro....a fatty! And, if I remember right the fatties were a Company Store (skunk) exclusive. Makes it even more rare. Worth every penny! IMHO.

Sorry J.
Indeed, I guess my HogFu was strong that day.
I was surprised myself that I did win it...and also surprised by the fact that there were not many different bidders in the last minutes.

I have no problem telling the price I got it for. It was 760USD! Not exactly a steal but I expected it to go much higher... so I'm quite pleased.

WHAT! A fatty in dead mint condition for 760? That's a way fair price. Good for you Crafft....good for freaking you bro!

Where the hell was I that day??? I got to start checking the "Bay" a little more often.

My highest bid was 750$ and I was going to have MAJOR trouble explaining that to the wife. I could have raised my bid at the end, but I just couldn't afford to go much higher. My wife would have STRANGLED me.:D Great snatch, Crafft. I have dibs when if you ever decide to sell it.;)
