I'm sad because I've decided to get a small regular sebenza from bladeart.com, but I won't be able to have the money for one until december 2003 unless I somehow got a job, which isn't very likely since I'm 13 years old. I would just ask my parents, but they don't have very much money(we just got done moving, and they're getting ready to buy a new house.) I'm not trying to complain, I'm just trying to vent.

Thanks for listning guys!!

Hi Jefroman,
I'm sure you could come up with the money in no time!!! When I was 9 years old I started walking dogs in the neighborhood and had a few regulars that paid me $7.50 a week for 3 30min walks. I then started to mow yards too and in a couple of months I had a few hundred bucks! Just put your mind to it and you will get your Sebenza!! It will be money well spent and you will have a friend and helper for life!!!!

Or get a Lansky and start a small business sharpening knives around the neighborhood. When you get a bit of money, get a better sharpener.

My two daughters had a little business when they were in elementary school taking trash to the dumpster for elderly people in the apartment complex we lived in while I was in anesthesia school (we were very broke!). Called themselves the Trash Twins (they're not twins, tho) Twenty-five cents per trash bag. They bought themselves a new TV with their money.

Lots of us mowed yards for money at your age. Friend of mine turned it into a landscaping business and put himself through college. He's a doctor now!

Don't wait on your parents to give you the money! It's out there!

Get a job, Bro! It's Summer time, time for kiddos to be out workin'.

When I was barely big enough to push a lawnmower (younger than 13yrs), I did it. All over the neighborhood. $7 to $10 per yard (they get more than that nowadays). Beats the $#!+ outta working fast food and coming home smelling like a huge greazy Loser.

If you have access to a lawnmower and rake, you can get the Sebenza for a Christmas present this year :)

First of all, I'm not fishing for a free knife:mad: How could I expect anyone to just give me a free sebenza? I was merely venting. And the reason I wouldn't have the money for a Sebenza is because my money would be all used up one the knife for my Dad. I guess neither of you have ever thought about spending your money on something for someone else before buying something for yourself.

P.S. I'm not trying to start a flame war and I hope I have not pffended anyone.

Jeff

Jeff:
Sorry about my earlier post. It was uncalled for. And it was a cheap shot. No flame wars here.

You know when I was younger, I did the lawn mowing/ car washing/ whatever odd jobs needed doing type of thing. You know what, looking back, I made quite a bit of money doing that. At least a couple hundred bucks each summer until I was about 15. So, if you put your mind to it you can figure out a way to get the money.
