Can this be reprofiled?

$10 Big River diamond file, and four minutes.
From the picture it looks like you can just bring the spine down to the tip.

Clamp in vice or to workbench, don't cut yourself

Send it in to Spyderco.
For a small fee. It will look new but shorter

Glass of ice water and a dremel. Grind and dunk, grind and dunk. If you don't have a dremel a metal file will work or even flip it upside down and grind it down on your sharpening stone.
