Sad day indeed, Theft: Busse, passports, Walther

Due to Illness in my immediate family I took an extended leave of absence from work and moved temporarily across the state to take care of my family member. While gone, my fiance provided extremely low cost rent to a needy single mother to assist in paying some of the bills left in my wake while also helping a woman in need.

So the bag containing my Walther P99 (the only pistol I own, w/ 2x15's), both of our passports, a scrapper 6, dogfather, a meaner street matching active duty, custom ground leaner street, HRLM, a nimravus in M2, (all in custom kydex sheaths!) misc diamond hones and a few other odds and ends was put in a dark corner in the garage by my fiance. Living in the middle of no where without kids it was never a requirement to have a safe.

Fast forward two months, several things have turned up missing including cash and housewares so my fiance throws them (her bf had decided to take up semipermanent residence) out and I head out as soon as I can, three weeks later . Surprise! We are one very heavy and expensive bag short.

And here I am looking for pictures of the missing items on BF.com to put in the police report. A sad day indeed. 90% of my knives (prob more if you are counting $$) have probably already been unloaded and will likely never be returned.

that suck's, sorry to hear about your loss. hopefully they catch them.

That sucks! Good luck on getting it back:thumbup: You've got names and other info, right? Should be a pretty easy thing to track 'em down, hopefully!

Sorry to hear about that - a bloke who was doing the right thing by his family and also his fiance who was doing the right thing by a stranger in need... you guys deserve much better. Respect to you

Hopefully at least some items make there way back to you.

Edited to add:

And maybe post up the photos in this thread so if any appear on the exchange at some point you can back track to the thief?!?

Yikes!!!

So sorry to hear about the theft. A very tough break made even worse because you were trying to help this woman out.

Hope that you recover some of these and have a very merry Christmas in spite of your loss. Hang in there. :)

Sorry for the loss of your hard earned property. Thievs are amongst the lowest of creatures.

It is truely unfortunate that they decided to pay back your fiance's kindness by stealing from you. The worst part is trying to trust people after you have been betrayed.

Good luck on getting your items back.

Hope you (a) get your stuff back and (b) get some prosecutorial satisfaction.

I supplied the police the name she gave us, as well as a different last name I found on a piece of mail she left behind in the trash, her phone number, and the last place we know that she worked which sadly enough was as an in home personal care provider for an elderly woman. The officer that called today requesting pictures of the items said he had spoken to her and her boyfriend and of course they knew nothing about anything being missing. When confronted before she left by my fiance (together over ten years and surely the best gal a guy could ask for) about missing kitchenware that was sitting in the backseat of the 'suspects" locked car, she simply denied any knowledge. The cell phone picture taken of the cookie sheets(!) sitting in her car have also been supplied to the authorities. Who steals cookie sheets?!

They say no good deed goes unpunished.

Sorry to hear that this happened.

Glad to hear that you are filling out a police report. You never know your stuff may turn up.

I would still search all the pawn shops in the area to see if your stuff is there. Normally a thief just wants a quick buck and probably has no idea of the value of what he has stolen.

+1. Exactly what I was thinking. Even the pawn shops may not know the value, so you'd do well to call around and ask if any pawns have transpired. Did all the knives have a Busse designation of some sort on them?

Did you get the Busse knives direct from us at Busse Combat if so e-mail me at amy@bussecombat.com with your name and I can send you invoices so you can file them in the police report

I am so sorry that really stinks....

Things disappear from garages a lot. I don't think her bf living in the house links him much to the crime. I would call local pawn shops and tell your story. Maybe someone will drop you a call if he shows up. It's not real likely since it is a big hassle to get called to court as a witness. If you tell people that you are just looking for "probable cause" for a warrant to search their cars maybe someone will help you. The odds are strong that anything of value they have (stolen or otherwise) is in the cars. If not there, it has to be at a friend's house. Where else can they put things.

It is likely things will get traded for drugs.

Oh man that really sucks..... :(

Just put the word out locally like others have said to see if anything turns up.

Keep checking Ebay and Craigs list also. ;)

Sorry to hear of your loss of property Bro!!! All I can say is keep your heart and head up, it will get better. KNOW this, this A-hole will get there come up'ens. It always comes around.
God speed.

see, i would like to get folks like that in a 6' by 6' room with a 36" inch ballbat and just wear that a$$ out, they cannot run but three feet in any direction, and then when i get done with them, sic the dog on them!!!

man just keep your sanity and try not to get any street charges over those scumbags.

i have always said that if anybody messes with my family or property, that i will pull their time for them, going to prison is a joke, it is like a sunday evening picnic!!!

Da Cookie Monster obviously.

Really sorry to hear how bad you were treated.
