Well today I have realized that I have lost one of my favorite knives. It was a deep green bone Case Copperlock. One with an older style brass shield. Fit and finish was perfect!
I bought it off the exchange months back, -and it quickly became my favorite edc. It was the perfect blade shape, color, and size for me. The bone jigging was perfect, lest for a single chip in it from my sister dropping it off the table.
I woke up this morning and decided to go through my box of knives and realized it was gone. I thought maybe I packed it away during my recent move but have had no luck to find it yet! I'm hoping maybe I'll get lucky and come across it, I've already scoured the entire place and looked everywhere I know to look. It's not expensive, but it's a knife I really hoped I wouldn't lose!

I'm really sorry to hear that sir. I know how it feels to lose something that's one of "the ones". Had a couple of those instances, and they weren't replaceable.

Rough.

I feel your pain. Lost my Todd Wielinski N2 necker in W2 tapered tang dressed in carbon fiber with a great hamon and patina going. Prob my fav neck knife.

Hopefully your Case will turn up somewhere.

If you have a front-loading washer, check the seal around the front door of it.

I lost the exact same knife at a movie theater about a year ago. I went back the next day to check the lost and found but no luck.
Fantastic knife but it slips out of the pocket a little to easily. Hope you have better luck than I did.

When was the last time you saw it. Where were you. Were you using it. Did you sit it down or put it back in your pocket. Did it drop out of a pocket while jumping, sitting down, bending over. Have you checked your car, the car seat, under the car seat. Your sofa, in your sofa, under your sofa. Close your eyes, run through all these questions, think man! I really hate loosing things. It drives me crazy. Good luck!

I know the feeling as this week I lost my favorite EDC, the little Case Jr Scout in their burnt amber peachsed jig bone. Can't afford to replace it now, hopefully can later.

Hopefully it will turn up soon! In my experience, the best way to find a missing knife is to stop looking for it- they turn up later in some odd places!!

It's a maddening experience.

Pockets and traditional materials don't always stick together, literally, and that's the problem! If you like a knife and carry it there's always a risk of it going missing. The two knives I've lost, a Chambriard le Thiers compact in Stag with lovely file-work and only a couple of weeks back a Böker Germany Penknife with thick bone slabs were both greatly prized and can't be replaced. But, it's the ones you really like that stand the biggest chance of disappearing of course. Still, it shows that you carry quality and ignore the mediocre :D

Thanks, Will

Sad day, indeed. I find that if I don't have any idea where or when a knife went missing, it's usually just misplaced and will eventually turn up. Most likely culprit is the couch or car. I do have a son with sticky fingers and I will sometimes find things around his stash of treasures. (So far 4 knives, 2 flashlights and a titanium key chain.)

Good luck!
