I got this email this morning, I heard the news yesterday. I guess we should all be Thankful for our blessings..... As we Hogs fight for free INFI on Sunday night, remember those who are fighting for their buddy's and their own lives around the world. In the true spirit of Jerry and Busse Combat Knife Co, I have decided that if I am lucky enough to win any INFI in the Ganza that I will be donating it to a LUCKY un-knowing Soldier in Afghanistan.....HOOAH!

Greetings,

Sad news reaches us today from Afghanistan. The Canadians have lost five, including four soldiers and a journalist. Other reports say that we lost eight of our own CIA people. Deepest condolences to the Canadians, our people at CIA, and thier families.

While many people celebrate the New Year, others will begin the year with no joy. Some will embark on 2010 knowing they will fight through the year, unless the hand of God reaches down and takes them home. Tonight, I will watch the ball drop from Hong Kong with only silence and no celebration.

Please see the final dispatch for 2009: Into Thine Hand

Very Respectfully,

Michael Yon

My last time over there was Dec 2006 before I retired. I'd have nuked the entire country from one end to the other if it was up to me.

I'm currently serving in Afghanistan, and I knew one of the deceased, and one of the injured was my best friend ("brother", and colleague).
Its been a rough day,...

My thoughts and prayers go to all of you, and to all our brothers and sisters that have and are still defending us so Bravely.

hang tough brother.

thank you all for your service and sacrifice.

well wishes sent...

That place put to many good men into coffins, and into disabled category. I don't even want to speak about those unfortunate who were alive and taken by the bastards. I know some that have returned and some that didn't. That place is damned.

We Appreciate your service to this great country. May you and your comrades come home safely. Will be praying for a safe return.

Smoke continually rising from Northern AZ for all of the soldiers--domestic and foreign--put in harm's way to defend our freedoms.

My heart goes out to those who knew and loved these latest dead, and for everyone, everwhere who has suffered the sacrifice of losing a loved one.

Thanks to all who serve and have served. There is no greater love than the willingness to give your life for your fellow man.

smoke going up bro - it's getting too costly over there now. Bring the boys home
