The little knife shop I told you about a couple months ago is gone.

The owner was so helpful that I bought a Spyderco Native from him even though I could have got it cheaper on Inet.

Now looking for a Sharpmaker and thought, "What the heck, support the guy."

Too late.

Gone.

No sign or anything.

:(

Where was this shop? The only knife shops I knew about in the sacto area were the silly ones in the malls. The gun shops either sell knock-offs, or their prices are too high. BTW, I live in Dixon.

bummer.. hopefully he moved his inventory to the net, where knife sales are on the rise like a bullet with no forseeable sign of decline.

He was in the back of a leather shop where the guy made holsters, sheaths, belts, tack, etc.

On Auburn Blvd at the end of the Social Security bldg.

The leather shop is gone too.

Sad to hear. Not too many of the brick and mortar knife shops anymore. I try to support the local ones here in Indy. :)
