As a lot of you know, I lived in the San Diego area for many years and as a result, I often check the San Diego Tribune online for news. I ran across an unfortunate story in the paper a few days ago that concerns the Buck family that I thought I would share. It seems that their home was destroyed by fire a couple of weeks ago. No one was injured, but to lose a home is always a tragic experience to have to go through. I've known several families that have had to endure it and it is a nightmare with everything you own suddenly gone. I hope the Buck family gets through it with a minimum amount of pain and sorrow. Here's the link.

I’m glad to read that everybody got out ok. When a thing like this happens to someone else it is all too easy to wax philosophical about how people’s lives are more important and that everything else is just stuff. That is undeniable but if it happened to me I’d cry. Just the lose of family pictures and mementos would be a huge weight. I know that CJ has said he is not a collector but everybody collects even if they don’t see it as a hobby.

I wish for you and yours a parade of better luck CJ.

Best wishes to the Buck family for your loss. Glad to know everyone made it out safely.

...Thanks for the heads up Mike. I am so glad that all the members of the Buck family are safe and healthy. Shows yet another reason to hug each and every family member as often as you can. My Prayers of Thanks are with you CJ and each and every member of the Buck family...
