A very KIND gift! HAND made by Bob MacDonald. It is a solid titanium PHROBIS dolphin Bolo ! He use to when this in the 1980's! Years ago Bob gave this to me when I sent his his signed BuckMaster Knives first edition! He sent it in a Altoids box..LOL Im going to miss him.

Many of you who may had read the BuckMaster info on the BCCI web site or have read my Book( soon to be books) BuckMaster Knives may have read about Robert "Bob" MacDonald the "Director of Research" ! Bob and his son Rick MacDonald were with Qual-A-Tech and all the PHROBIS Company's when his great childhood friend Mickey Finn hired them both in 1982! Bob was the TRUE Genius behind the following BUCK and PHROBIS knives...He made the following by hand. Most of these prototypes I have had the honor to either HOLD or own! The Model 184 BuckMaster, Model 185 BuckMaster LT AKA Skeleton Survival Knife ( the original prototypes were the SEAL's of Team 3 Favorite) , The Knife of the Year 1987 Model 186 Titanium take apart(originally called the Ti-Master), The Venerable M9 Bayonet (I'm almost done with PHROBIS, BUCK and the M9 Bayonet book) , Model's 187 The CUK ( Combat Utility Knife) / The MFK ( Modualer Field Knife) , the neilson device ( made for SEAL's to allow a browning action type pistol to be able to fire multiple times story in next book) and countless other things that cant be disclosed to help our troops! A Retired Navy SEAL Commander emailed me this yesterday when he received this news "Bob was a gifted artisan....and a brilliant technician...he could create almost anything from nothing...and it would work.."
Memory Eternal Bob.
Rest in Our Lord Jesus Christ arms.
You will be missed Sir!
GOD rest your Soul- Rich Neyman

Yes, sad, he left quite a legacy. Preston

May his family find peace and comfort, and he rest in peace...

What a remarkable achievement and a tough act to follow.
A specially gifted individual indeed.
And with his passing
knifedom has lost
a brilliant designer and freedom patriot at that.
Thank's for sharing.
