Recently Carl Thiele, a long time Swamp Rat and Bussekin enthusiast passed away. Sadly, his wife Rose was in the hospital with her own health problems and was unable to say goodbye.
Here is a picture of Carl being inducted by Jerry Busse at a Blade show ; Carl was proud that he was able to "shake the Man's hand". The picture was supplied by long time friend Ian Allomes in Australia.

RIP Sir.

Sigh.

Venting here. I dont know about you guys, but I sure am weary of people leaving us, and the havoc in wreaks on everyone around them.

Lost some family and close friends over the past few years too, all WAY TOO GOD DAMN YOUNG.

Someday they're gonna have the anti-aging meds, and they're gonna cure cancer. Neither can come soon enough.

Everyone live and be well.

Nooooo 😪😪
RIP Carl (kinda shocked he's not the Aboriginal Guy in his avatar)
Carl, Ian, Architect and T1mpani provided so much knowledge on the old Swamp forums. I spent hours reading and learning from these Great Men.
I especially learned a lot on the Outdoors forum. Just gem after gem. When the forums went down I and a lot of other members were devastated that the threads were lost. I wish they wrote books on the subjects. I took some notes, but not enough.
Thanks for the education Carl🙏🙏🙏

RIP Carl, Prayers and Love for his family. 🙏✝️❤️

Carl was an amazing person who personified his forum name of "Survivor".

He was a friend to all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Rest In Peace, My Friend,

Jerry and crew

RIP, brother Hog. The day is a little dimmer with your passing.
Fair winds and following seas.

Thank you for posting this Tom.

Rest In Peace my friend. Carl, you did not go gently into that good night.

RIP Brother Thiele.
