I work for Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, we build the Sonota and Santa Fe. I just saw an ad from a local dealer, "Keep the plant running and your neighbors working, buy a Sonota or Santa Fe." Wow..... ah well, hours being cut let me make more knives. I was thinking about getting back in shape and taking a contact overseas. Wife said she'd rather I make knives as long as we have the plant insurance.

On the world news this morning, they said that Hyundai was the only car manufacture making money. They believe that it is due to the fact of the new advertising campaign that they are running now. If you lose your job within the first year you can bring the car back and it wouldn't adversely hurt your credit rating.

We make a very good car. We didn't do well in JD Powers last year and I think it's due to the dealers "overselling" the car. We're coming out with a new body style Sonota and a facelift Santa Fe this Summer or Fall.

I work in Quality Control and I know there's several things we do in QC on every single freaking car that are only periodic audits at other manufacturers. The guys from a Michigan company that make some of our dynamic test equipment were so impressed with the cars they both bought Sonotas.

We do purty gud fer a bunch of rednecks that ain't bilt kars beefour.

Oh yeah, Alabama is like the #3 car producing state in the country. Hyundai, Honda, Mercedes and a Toyota engine plant. Kia is in the new employee training phase at a plant 90 miles up the road in Georgia.

My county is maybe 150,000 people, and we lost over 2,000 jobs this last year, never to return. Didn't ya wonder why I'm hangin around here all the time?
