Sad to see this happen to my CRKT Fossil (Broken Knife)

Today I decided to see what was wrong with my CRKT fossil and why it wasn't locking. The first time bought this it worked perfectly it was for a time my favorite blade. I used it for a few months until it stopped locking, it was only a $60 blade so I choose not to do anything about it. Then tonight I was going to see why it was wasn't working. First I went and took of the handle scales the frame had seem to become very loose and had no tension. Then I got it to lock (being careful) and then put my hand around the handle lightly then it unlocked and the frame fell off.

This makes me very upset that the frame would do this, but it will not drive me away from CRKT I just wanted to share my story and hope you like to know this happend.

Veff serrations cut like a chainsaw, really good geometry for pulling cuts. Imagine them as being tiny hawkbill blades all cutting at the same time.

I bet they'll replace it. They've always been good to me about stuff like that. I snapped about an inch of blade off of a KFF digging a .50 cal round out of a berm (like a doofus!) and they sent me a new one.

Veff serrations rule!

And I'm sorry to hear about this. I'm glad you plan to contact them. I'm confident they'll take care of you. Nice looking knife, by the way.

First of all veff serrations are indeed awesome. Also this doesn't hurt my relationship with CRKT at all. infact I'm extremely surprised this happened. I think it is because of the thin frame made it to a point were it was weaker. That isn't bad thing because to much of a metal frame becomes a bad thing which I learned with the Kershaw ignite. In the end I think skinny frame that was it's down fall.
