I feel pretty down. My son called today, and the company takn away from me [ex and the cpa] killed another diver. He was 29 years old. The location of the incident was central US. I was almost killed at the same location back in the 80's but my Guardian Angel took care of me.

I am not at liberty to go into details, second hand info, but it upsets me greatly.

My attorney once told me to stop micro managing the company. I told him this is not the 7-11 or Burger King. One screw up, a man dies. I would go in the shop 0400 to check on the people at 0600. I think if I would have hurt people [kick ass] , I would still be there and he would be alive now.

I feel real bad.

It's not your fault man. You didn't do it.

It's a shame, but you had no control.

Take care.

Steve

Sams-- sorry to hear it, but as Ferguson said, it's not your fault. Don't beat yourself up over things you can't control.

Hang in there,

Steve's right, it's a tough world, and stuff happens that's hard to swallow. Never stop caring, but don't take on blame you didn't earn. The "would've, could've, should've" game ain't nothing more than a dog chasing his tail in a circle for all the good it does. Bad news, and sorry to hear it, but thank you for sharing it with friends, that's what we're here for.

That's a tough one. It sounds like (from your previous experience) that it could've happened to anybody, even if you were there. Not being there throws you into coulda, woulda, shoulda just like Sarge said.

Sounds like you have a good handle on what's going on. If you really need to purge some guilt, maybe you can make sure others are informed??? Mourn, learn, and move on.

Thoughts for you and his family.

It is an unfortunate thing but maybe as the Buddhists say, today was that guy's appointed date. If so, there is nothing you could have done even if you had been there. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon.

Cliff's right. When the death day comes there is nothing anybody can do. Don't blame yourself. It is all karma. Better to send up some smoke for the departed -- best thing that can be done now.

Business owners who run a tight ship, make a profit, train and insist that their employees are safe and practice safety on the job and make their payrolls on time, pay exhorbitant confiscatory taxes to the IRS, have become fair game for the race hustlers like Jesse Jackson, the social engineering and avaricious lawyers, the
ultra liberal court system that awards million dollar judgements to some idiot that spills coffee in her lap.

I could go on ad infinitum but you know the song and the verse.

Sorry for the poor fella who fell victim to these cretins and for his family(if he had one). A family that now has to try to survive without their father.
