Well it seems the bokers I ordered from magnum were defective. Three of them had the bolster on the small blade side loose. The fourth had a bad crack int he bone scale on the large blade side. To say the least these will be going back for a refund. I had asked them to check them over before shipping, it was even in the notes with the invoice I received. Things happen!!! I will definitely not order anymore of these!!! :(
 
That sucks. I'd also be sending off a nasty letter to Boker. Their quality control at the factory must be terrible.

Personally, I've always had good luck with Boker and thought they were a quality brand. Just depends I guess...

Ive bought many over the years. The only other thing that came close to having problems were the copper lkiner locks in red jigged bone I bought about two years ago. Most of them had bad liner to backspring fit, big gaps. I ended up living with them, wish I had sent most of them back. These Im not hesistating, they are going back.
 
That's terrible Rev I was just looking at the Stepped bolster Congress with jade jigged bone scales, what knives did ya order.

BTW how's the Trapper? :)
 
The barlows I ordered were the 493, or 498? They were boker tree brand green jigged bone, with clip and pen blades. They were in the white pages in the middle section of magnums current catolog. They were 29.95 apiece I believe (if I remember correctly)?

Oh, the trapper is one sweeeeeet knife!!! :D Excellant "fit and finish".
